Shayne, I completely agree with your feelings about Lessons in Chemistry. I listened to it on a long car ride from Arizona to California and only finished because I didn’t have something else to listen to.
Love the bit about commonplace books. I don’t keep one exactly, but my Apple Notes serves as one. I keep quotes, notes, links, and pretty much everything in there.
Notes is useful but I have so many notes now it’s hard to find/remember what I have saved. I think I could turn the contents of my notes app into a commonplace book.
I like to when I have a spare few hours every now, and then just scan through it all. I’m always surprised by one or two things that I’ve completely forgotten about. But I also like your idea of creating a commonplace book from all that content.
